Method #1

The Secret Codes of Gravity Falls are the codes at the end of the credits in each episode.

There are 4 different methods. Here is a list of the methods and how to use them.



Method #1: Caesar or the Three Letters Back Rule

The Caesar method or commonly known as the Three Letters or Three Times Back is the first rule and was in episodes one through six or "Tourist Trapped" through "Dipper vs. Manliness". Basically for the the answers you go three letters back in the alphabet. Some of you might get confused on A, B, and C because you think that there is no letters in the alphabet three letters back from A, B, or C. well A equals X, B equals Y, and C equals Z.

Method #2: Atbash

The Atbash method is the second method and was in episodes seven through thirteen or "Double Dipper" through "Boss Mabel". You make a list of the alphabet regularly, and then under the list of the alphabet, you make list of the alphabet backwards. If you find this too hard, or don't feel like it I have put a chart of the Atbash method below.

Method #3: A1Z26 or the Number of The Alphabet Rule

The A1Z26 method or most commonly known as the Number of the Alphabet is the third method and was in episodes fourteen through nineteen or "Bottomless Pit!" through "Dreamscaperers". The A1Z26 method is the easiest in my opinion because all you have to do is count to that number in the alphabet. For example: 1 would be A or 26 would be Z.

Method #4: Combined Method

The combined method is in my opinion the hardest method of all. It is always in numbers first like the A1Z26 method. The only episode known with the combined method so far is just the Gravity Falls season finale, "Gideon Rises" and possibly the Season 2 of Gravity Falls. Fist you have to decode the numbers with the A1Z26 method, then with the letters you get from the A1Z26 method use the letters as another code as the Atbash method and then when you get the letters out of Atbash, you use the Caesar method on the letters you got out of the Atbash, and then you should get your code.
